Apply Like a Pro - The Easy Way

 

1  Clean the Surface

Make sure the spot is squeaky clean - no wax, dust, or tire rubber. 

 

2  Test the Placement

Hold your decal up before peeling anything. When you find the perfect spot, 

use a small piece of tape mark to line it up.

 

3  Peel and Apply

Gently peel the decal from the backing. Start from top or one corner and go slow. Peel top clear sheet once the decal is set. The top sheet can also remain which will make removal easier. 

 

4  Smooth It Out

Run a vinyl squeegee over the whole thing, especially the edges. Firm pressure helps it stay put.

Follow these steps for a clean, residue-free removal. The full process takes under a minute per number.

 

1  Warm It Up

Removal is easiest when the panel is warm — park in direct sun for 10–15 minutes, or apply gentle heat with a hair dryer or heat gun on LOW along the edges and corners. Avoid high heat on carbon fiber or PPF.

 

2  Lift One Corner

Using a plastic razor blade or plastic trim tool (never metal), slide the edge under one corner at a shallow angle — close to flat against the paint, not digging downward. Work the blade in slowly until the corner lifts free. 

 

Plastic tools only. Metal blades can scratch clear coat, PPF, and carbon fiber.⚠

 

3  Peel Low and Slow

Once the corner is lifted, switch to your fingers. Peel back on itself at a low angle — closer to flat against the surface than straight up — pulling slowly and steadily across the full number.

 

4  Reheat as Needed

For larger numbers or multi-digit sets, reapply light heat every few inches as you peel, especially if the vinyl starts to resist or feels like it's tearing rather than lifting.

 

5  Clean the Surface

If any adhesive residue remains, apply a plastic-safe adhesive remover or isopropyl alcohol (we recommend Mothers R3) let it sit for a few seconds, and wipe with a microfiber towel. Avoid abrasive pads on PPF or ceramic-coated surfaces.
